Preliminary script

The scene starts with a panning shot of a classroom, there is a teacher sitting alone at his desk marking papers. The camera angle then changes to a bird’s eye view shot of the teacher marking. This is then followed by a knock on the door, an action shot is used to show him walking through the door. There is then a point of view shot of the student walking over to the desk. Throughout the convocation there are various camera shots such as over the shoulder, close up and long shot.

(Knock on door)

Teacher: come in

Student: you wanted to see me sir

Teacher: yes, please come a take a seat (students sits down) you’re a bright student but recently I’ve noticed that your grades are beginning to slip. I’ve been watching you for a while and you don’t seemed to be bullied at school. So I was wondering, are you being bullied at home?

Student: (nervously) no sir

Teacher: that’s not a very convincing answer. I know there is something wrong so you might as well tell me.

Student: It’s my mum sir she’s in hospital, she’s been assaulted.

Teacher: I’m sorry. Do you know who done it?

Student: yes, sir I saw them do it …….. it was my.

(a knock on the door distracts the student and another boy walks in)

Boy: sir, I’m sorry to disturb you but there’s a fight breaking out

Teacher: ok thank you, I’ll be right there. (Turns to student) I’m sorry I’ve got to go were going to have to do this another time.
